In 1950, Bill Rosenberg opened the first Dunkin' restaurant in Quincy, Massachusetts, and in 1955 granted the first of many franchises. When Dunkin' Donuts founder Bill Rosenberg opened the first Dunkin' in 1950, his philosophy was simple:
"To make and serve the freshest, most delicious coffee and donuts quickly and courteously in modern, well-merchandised stores."
This philosophy still holds true today and is the foundation that has allowed Dunkin' to grow into the largest coffee and pastry chain in the world.
In 2024, together with AR Holdings, it arrives to sweeten the Costa Rican market with the opening of the first Dunkin' restaurant in the country.
